Sustainability

Sustainability and ethics are the driving forces behind our brand. At Unearthly Creatures, we prioritize the use of recycled materials to create our clothes, ensuring that we contribute to a circular economy and minimize our impact on the environment.

Our garments are crafted from a range of recycled materials, including post-consumer water bottles, reclaimed fishing nets from our oceans, and other upcycled waste. By giving new life to these materials, we reduce the demand for virgin resources and divert harmful waste from landfills and waterways.

To ensure the utmost transparency and integrity, our recycled fabrics are certified Standard 100 by Oeko-Tex, the globally recognized leader in fabric testing for harmful substances. This certification guarantees that every fabric used in our clothing meets strict safety standards and is free from harmful chemicals. With Oeko-Tex, you can trust that the origin and composition of our fabrics are fully disclosed, empowering you to make informed choices about what you wear against your skin. 

 

Packaging: Our Packaging is biodegradable! Made from home-compostable materials, mainly corn starch and PBAT (a compostable ingredient that bonds renewable ingredients together). 

To compost them at home, it’s best to remove any labels, cut them up and place them in your compost bin as “brown” materials. These will completely break down within 90-120 days in a home-compostable environment - sometimes even sooner!

 

Shipping: We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint. For every purchase you make, we take action to offset the carbon emissions generated during the shipping process by planting a tree.

We recognize that shipping contributes to carbon emissions and the overall impact on our planet. By planting trees, we actively engage in reforestation efforts, promoting biodiversity and mitigating the environmental effects of shipping. Trees act as natural carbon sinks, absorbing and storing carbon dioxide, helping to combat climate change and restore ecological balance.

Meet Julia, the trailblazing force behind a game-changing sustainable activewear brand that effortlessly blends athleisure with the glamorous vibes of party wear. With a background spanning the fashion and fitness industries, Julia has made it her mission to revolutionize the way we think about active living.

From a young age, Julia had an unbreakable bond with fashion and fitness. Her fascination with the world of fabrics, textures, and colors danced harmoniously with her passion for leading a healthy and active lifestyle.

As fate would have it, Julia's journey led her to work with renowned fashion houses, where she honed her design skills and gained valuable insights into the industry's trends and demands. Simultaneously, she immersed herself in the fitness world, becoming a certified personal trainer and delving into various sports and exercise disciplines.

The idea of creating her own sustainable activewear brand slowly started to take shape as Julia noticed a gap in the market. Activewear was functional, yes, but it lacked the fun and flair she believed were essential in inspiring a love for fitness. It was at this moment that the concept of "athleisure meets party wear" was born.
